Seven Ply: Jewelry

These earrings are so cute on, I can't even describe the unique look they have. This goes back to my punk rock days, which I'm trying to do in a more sophisticated way. Let's face it it's who you are and you don't want to lose that. I'm not that vanilla. That being said these are definitely a casual look, and when I wear them I try to pair them with a very plain outfit to balance the size of them. My husband is a skateboarder and he adores them. Check out Lynn's blog, it shows how just about everything can and should be recycled!

This is how I feel today! I took a trip to Seattle, WA this summer and I thought I'd post this image since I am at home sick! I do love sculptural elements on buildings, and hopefully I can find a building this cool to buy someday!

Skraddaregatan: Swedish Design

I am in love with this
Swedish "Dala Horse" bean bag. The Dala Horse is a over 400 years old, and if you are Swedish it is a well recognized symbol found on just about everything you own. I am personally torn on what my style will be. I love Swedish minimalism, but I do not want to be entirely modern. I love dark woods, but also love painted white wood. I have determined that I want all doors, and trim in my home to be all white, with very subdued paint on the walls. I love the way dark furniture looks like it's floating in this kind of room (mixed with white and dark woods). I want to honor my heritage while keeping with other traditions as well.

Textile Designer:

Rubie Green - 100% Organic Perfection. When Michelle Adams formed her company Rubie Green in 2008, her intention was to make simple chic fabrics and bedding without harming the environment. The site is gorgeous and invigorating. You feel like you are smelling fresh washed linens as you gaze at the images. If you like bold patterns I would highly recommend this site. I love this room! The Ikea Lack Bookcase is so elegant! This is Michelle Adams textile design office, (Rubie Green) it's gorgeous. See more of this at LonnyMag.com it's a brand new Magazine and it looks promising. What's nice about it is that all the images have links so if you see something you like you can click it and it will take you directly to the site to purchase! As simple as that seems it has taken magazines far too long to create a good web presence. Bravo!

Simon Doonan & Jonathan Adler.

Two people I admire greatly. Both have tremendous style, humor. This is one classy couple, if I could die and come back as either two I would! If you have never experienced the sheer genius of Adler's pottery then this is a crash course on interior "artists". He has perfected the Hollywood Regency style. My husband and I have great taste, but some people just have it all. It's like their hair is never out of place! Are they even human? Make sure to read Adler's manifesto it's fantasic.
